Throughout the year we are featuring one-day classes to explore the spiritual festivals from a Rosicrucian perspective. We will be gathering once again this month for the Pentecost experience. This is the first time that we have offered this course and hope that you can join us!
WHAT IS PENTECOST?
Pentecost points to the mystery of the Holy Spirit and the quest for spiritual enlightenment. It is the time when the conscious spiritual striving of the Disciples led the spiritual world to respond with the descent of the flame of the Holy Spirit. The striving of the disciples is related to the development of the Spirit-Self, the astral body transformed through the consciousness activity of the I AM spiritual self-awareness. The Spirit-Self is connected to the Sophia and is itself sometimes referred to as the "Divine Sophia". We will explore these topics and more during our day together.
SCHEDULE:
Morning session (9:30-11): Eurythmy led by Elizabeth Gilbert. We will use sacred movement and sacred texts as a path for "inviting the Spirit down" and entering into the Pentecost experience.
Afternoon session (12:30-5): Meditative practices led by Robert Gilbert. We will work specifically with the central column of energy and the "flame center" above the head. This center above the head is related to our connection to our guardian angel and to the Holy Spirit.
